The Classic Mannlicher is built for hunters who prefers the beauty of a classic wood stock, a high gloss blued finish and a magazine box made of steel. Unlike any other hunting rifle, the Classic Mannlicher combines the best classic bolt-action design with the ultimate in advanced safety technology: Firearms safety is ultimately the responsibility of the user. In view of these facts, Steyr has incorporated safety design features into the SBS-System (Safe Bolt System) that dramatically enhance safe handling and usage.

Front locking lugs increase functional reliability at high gas pressures. Ice and residue grooves on the bolt body increase reliability under freezing and adverse conditions. Safety off ready to fire Safe Loading/unloading   Trigger safety activated, the rifle may be loaded or unloaded. Trigger safety activated. Bolt locked also blocking the firing pin.
