The MANURHIN MR96 reinvents modern wheelgun ergonomics. Manurhin engineers and some of Europe's most prominent shooters developed it in close consultation.  The patented MANURHIN MR96 design is a revolution in revolver engineering.

REMOVABLE BARREL SHROUD WITH VENTILATED RIB. The barrel of the MANURHIN MR96 is installed and held in place by an independent steel shroud. Front sight adjustment is no longer related to barrel torquing.   Barrel-to-cylinder clearance is easily adjusted to lower gap values than is possible using a conventional barrel installation method, promoting accuracy.

FASTER, EASIER RELOADING.  Whatever the make, "conventional" revolvers are harder to reload than magazine-fed handguns - with one exception, the MANURHIN MR96.   Faster cylinder loading was a design requirement and led to a radical approach of cylinder crane locking/unlocking.  A front-located pushbutton moving in the very direction of crane opening resulted. One-hand opening and ejection has become very easy and very fast, freeing the weak hand for much quicker speedloader presentation and cylinder loading.

EASIER CYLINDER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION. The usual crane pivot screw has been eliminated.  One push on a button is all that is required to remove the cylinder and pivot assembly from the steel frame once the MR96 cylinder has been opened.

REMOVABLE TRIGGER ASSEMBLY.  The complete trigger and hammer assembly is mounted to a removable sideplate and is fully adjustable.  The simple, rugged mechanism creates an outstanding smooth, constant-pressure trigger operation in both single or double action modes.  All trigger parts are interlocked and won't fall out.   Special surface finish and treatment techniques are used to provide a remarkable longevity and perfect sideplate-to-frame matching.

MANURHIN MR96 MEANS OUTSTANDING ERGONOMICS.  The entire revolver has been designed to become a natural extension of the shooter's hand.  The grip - a long-lasting rubber design specific to this revolver - allows continuous firing of the most powerful loads without fatigue.  The trigger guard has been squared and is serrated to provide a strong hold for the weak hand in two-handed shooting.  Shooters accustomed to semi-automatic pistols will not have to change their technique.
